Northam Re-use Water Scheme – Western Australia – support
The proposal would provide $10 million over 4 years to the Shire of Northam towards the upgrade and expansion of the Northam Re-use Water Scheme.
The funding profile for the proposal would be $2 million in each of 2025-26 and 2026-27, and $3 million in each of 2027-28 and 2028-29.
The proposal would be non-ongoing and start from 1 July 2025.

The proposal is to not proceed with the 2024-25 Mid-year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) measure Building Australia’s Future – A Fairer Deal for Students. The measure includes a 20% reduction in income contingent loans, such as HELP, as well as a marginal repayments system for those loans.
The proposal would be ongoing and start on 1 June 2025.
