The proposal would provide $10 million over 4 years towards a new Bureau of Meteorology weather radar for Central Queensland. The funding profile would be $4 million in 2025-26 and $2 million in each of the following 3 years (to 2028-29).

The proposal would be non-ongoing and start from 1 July 2025.

The proposal would provide $5 million in funding to partner with Good to Great Schools Australia to strengthen the teacher workforce in regional and remote areas. This would help build the capacity of teaching assistants and teachers in regional and remote Australia, and explore the development of new qualifications to upskill teaching assistants.

• Option 2: Annual indexation of the BBA would be in line with the CPI Education subgroup (CPI Education). The Additional Boarding Allowance (ABA) would also be indexed to the CPI Education.
