The proposal would provide $24 million over 5 years to support the Boyer Paper Mill in Tasmania.

The funding would be distributed as $9 million in upfront support over the first 2 years to help Boyer stabilise its operations ($4.5 million per year), and $15 million for electrification investments over 3 years from 2027-28 ($5 million per year).

The proposal would be non-ongoing and start from 1 July 2025.
