The proposal would double federal funding to states and territories for homelessness services and public and community housing, by providing $1.8 billion additional funding in 2025-26 and ongoing through the National Agreement on Social Housing and Homelessness ($7.5 billion over the first 4 years).
The proposal would be ongoing, indexed to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and start on 1 July 2025.

The proposal would provide $25 million per year to establish a new research institute, the Centre for Climate Repair, to examine and propose measures to help draw down carbon from the atmosphere and other actions to repair the climate.
The Centre will have a particular focus on how to protect the Antarctic regions under Australia's responsibility, as the collapse of the Antarctic ice sheets, if not prevented, will drive multi-century sea level rise.
