Green Australia Fund - biodiversity restoration
The proposal would provide $20 billion over 10 years for a Green Australia Fund to invest in biodiversity restoration through a range of projects, including the recently established Nature Repair Scheme and local council greening programs.
The program would be targeted towards threatened species and ecosystem recovery projects including but not limited to: habitat protection and restoration; monitoring and data collection; development and implementation of threatened species recovery plans, and threat abatement plans; rehabilitation of waterways; and invasive species management.
