Fairfield Hospital Emergency Department expansion
The proposal would provide $80 million over 3 years to expand the Emergency Department at Fairfield Hospital.
The funding profile would be $20 million in 2025-26, $35 million in 2026-27, and $25 million in 2027-28.
The proposal would be non-ongoing and start from 1 July 2025.

The proposal would provide $8 million over 2 years for a new healthcare hub for Burnie. The Burnie Health Hub would host a wide range of health services including a general practice, pharmacy, women’s health, imaging, pathology, and legal services. It would also provide student training opportunities – boosting the local workforce.
The proposal would be non-ongoing and distribute funding evenly over the 2 years of the proposal.
The proposal would start from 1 July 2025.

The MBS would include coverage of all items listed in the 13th edition of the Australian Schedule of Dental Services and Glossary (the handbook).
The MBS benefit for each item would align with the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) (or scaled Veterans Dental Schedule (VDS) schedule rates where CDBS pricing is not available).
