  • extend universal access to preschool to 30 hours a week for all 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds
  • provide 50 hours a week of free Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) for every child
  • transition to a system that directly funds childcare providers to deliver free, high-quality care for every family.

The proposal would start on 1 July 2025.
