The proposal would deliver a new targeted Teach Maths for Australia program to recruit, place and train 105 new secondary maths teachers and 365 additional teachers in Teach for Australia’s proven pathway.

The funding would be distributed as $0.4 million in 2025-26, $1.3 million in 2026-27, $9.8 million in 2027-28 and $18.7 million in 2028-29.

The proposal would be non-ongoing and start on 1 January 2026.
