The proposal would provide $30 million over 4 years to support First Nations Traditional Owners' participation in marine park development and management, including capacity building and Sea Country planning.

The funding would be non-ongoing, distribute funds evenly over 4 years and include departmental funding from within the capped amount.

The proposal would start from 1 July 2026.
