The proposal would provide $400 million over 4 years to provide preventative and early intervention mental health care by funding grants for community mental health organisations to expand their programs.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years and include departmental funding from within the capped amount.

The proposal would start on 1 July 2026.
