The proposal would provide $200 million of grant funding in 2025-26 to immediately reduce waitlists at community and non-profit (including government-run) childcare centres by increasing the number of spaces they offer.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, include departmental funding from within the capped amount and start from 1 July 2025.
