The proposal would provide $1 billion to 2030 towards the implementation and progression of the recommendations of the 2022 Joint World Heritage Centre / IUCN Reactive Monitoring Mission to the Great Barrier Reef.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, not be indexed, distribute funding evenly over 6 years, include departmental funding within the cap and start from 1 July 2025.
