The proposal would provide $4 million over 4 years to conduct an independent review of the higher education regulator, the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA), to improve campus safety.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years, include departmental funding from within the capped amount, and start from 1 July 2026.
