The proposal would provide $150 million over 5 years to introduce a dedicated Disability Pride Week, sponsored by the Australian Government, that includes grants to support community events and communications that celebrate Disability Pride.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 5 years and include departmental funding from within the capped amount.

The proposal would start on 1 July 2026.
