The proposal would provide $20 million in 2026-27 for the development of a National Green Procurement Strategy, to change the way the government invests in Australia’s clean technology businesses and ensure that Australian content is maximised in energy infrastructure projects.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, include departmental funding from within the capped amount and start from 1 July 2026.
