The proposal would provide funding to end LGBTIQA+ discrimination through the following components:

• Component 1: $10 million, evenly distributed over 4 years, for a public education campaign to promote inclusion and understanding for trans and gender-diverse people.
• Component 2: $1 million per year ongoing, not indexed ($10 million over the medium term) for community leadership and development including training for community leaders and trans and gender-diverse community groups.

The proposal would include departmental funding from within the capped amount and would start from 1 July 2026.
