The proposal would provide $484 million annually to the National Legal Assistance Partnership to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Services, community legal centres, women’s legal services, and legal aid commissions can meet the growing demand.

The proposal would be ongoing, not indexed and start from 1 July 2026.
