The proposal would provide $15 million over 4 years to ensure disabled people are supported in disaster responses. The funds would support disability awareness training for emergency responders, co-designed with disabled people and key organisations.

The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years, include departmental funding within the cap and start from 1 July 2026.
