The proposal would provide $100 million over 4 years to implement all recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody and by partnering with First Nations communities, particularly families affected by deaths in custody.

The proposal would be non-ongoing and distribute funding evenly over the 4 years of the proposal.

The proposal would start on 1 July 2026.
