The proposal would provide $10 million over 4 years to establish a Public Interest Democracy Fund. This fund would support trials of innovative programs and digital platforms to increase democratic participation

The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years and include departmental funding from within the capped amount.

The proposal would start from 1 July 2026.
