Daintree renewable energy microgrid project – support
The proposal would provide $18.8 million over 3 years to support the Daintree renewable energy microgrid project to deliver reliable power to homes and businesses, improve economic, environmental and cultural opportunities for the region, and reduce emissions by reducing reliance on burning diesel.
The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 3 years and start on 1 July 2025.
