Women's health - menopause awareness campaigns
The proposal would provide $5 million over 4 years to deliver a national education campaign on menopause and perimenopause.
This would focus on educating GPs through an accredited training program, to ensure they are well-equipped to support their patients, as well as raising public awareness about menopause symptoms and treatment options to reduce stigma and encourage open conversations.
The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years, and start from 1 July 2026.
