Specialised care subsidy – AEIOU Foundation
The proposal would provide $35 million over 4 years to support the AEIOU Foundation to address the gap in early learning support for children with severe Global Development Delay (GDD) and autism. The proposal would support a 3-year pilot program to provide targeted funding to ensure that these children receive the targeted interventions needed to thrive.
The funding would be distributed as $9 million in 2025-26, $11 million in 2026-27, $12 million in 2027-28 and $3 million in 2028-29.
The proposal would be non-ongoing and start on 1 July 2025.
