Agriculture & biosecurity – On-farm renewables – $2 million for agrovoltaics research
The proposal would provide $2 million over 4 years to establish an agrovoltaics research and knowledge sharing program to encourage communities, showing that agriculture and renewable energy production can co-exist.
The proposal would be non-ongoing, distribute funding evenly over 4 years and include departmental funding from within the capped amount.
The proposal would start from 1 July 2026.
