This proposal would establish the Advanced Strategic Research Agency (ASRA) within the Defence Portfolio to fund research in technologies for national security. ASRA would be modelled off of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency within the US.

Funding for ASRA would be redirected from currently unallocated funding under the Defence Innovation Hubs.
