The proposal would establish a taskforce to work with states and territories to improve the national construction code for newly built homes and apartments. The objectives will be to make rooftop solar a standard feature of all new housing delivered in Australia, no new gas connections (all-electric appliances), all electric appliances and improve energy efficiency standards.
